Restorative AeroYoga® is a meditative practice that uses props like the aeroyoga® swing but also blocks, straps, sandbags, bolsters, and blankets to encourage a passive release of mind and body tension.
This aerial trapeze soft style, works to release deep tension passively, without active stretch or a very little active strech.
The majority of AeroYoga® classes are an active practice with the yoga swing in which you move from pose to pose, building heat and increasing your strength and flexibility in equal measure.
The general trend in aerial yoga practice is toward more athletic and acrobatic styles of practice.
Yet, in restaurative AeroYoga®, we say that the swing does the job instead of the student.
In restaurative AeroYoga® we found
Stretch: In restorative Aeroyoga, the goal is to be 100% supported and passive with no active stretch or a very soft active stretch. Props, including the yoga swing, are used to completely support your body.
Focus:In restorative AeroYoga® the focus is on stretching your connective and also focus is on the passive release of mind-body tension.
Props:AeroYoga® style use props like the own AeroYoga® swing, they are also used to either deepen or soften the stretch. Generally, restorative yoga will use props which may include straps, blankets, blocks, sandbags and bolsters.
Poses time:In restorative AeroYoga®, aerial yoga poses are held 3-5 minutes.
Who is the restorative AeroYoga® for?
-Stressed people. -Athletes. -People who wish to enhance their practice at more advanced levels. -Pregnant women. -As help to prevent and combat anxiety, fears and phobias.
