AeroYoga, what is it?
AeroYoga is an artistic system of weightless work, created by Rafael Martínez inspired by traditional Yoga (Natha Yoga) and Ayurveda.It focuses on enhancing work on a physical and emotional level, including a series of postures and acrobatic movements, using the aerial Yoga swing (trapeze) as a platform, which is formed by a fabric that supports up to 300kg which is regularly hung from a ceiling.
Among its benefits is the strengthening and toning of the body, favoring muscle elasticity, joint mobility and the spine, thanks to the inverted and suspended postures (axial decompression).
AeroYoga® method works like an improvement of the nervous and locomotor system, functioning as a complete sport. Making a 50 minute session burn up to 320 cal.
In addition to physical work theres a mental state entering the state of meditation that promotes concentration, fosters mental calm through conscious and deep breathing.

It is designed for all types of bodies, it is a non-exclusive system that adapts to all types of people, from professional athletes and yoga lovers to Pilates teachers or people who have never exercised.
History
After a trip to the United States, Rafael Martinez, instructor of Yoga Creativo©, discovers the yoga swing (trapeze), is inspired by it and on his return to Spain decides to implement in his own space, Madrid Yoga Studio, his knowledge in Yoga Creativo© together with the swing, thus the AeroYoga® was born.
Some time later he wrote the book ¨The Art of AeroYoga, Power of Weightlessness¨ in which he introduces the system that makes up the AeroYoga®.
The book is aimed at professionals who want to implement this technique in their workspaces: studios, gyms, clinics, spas, etc.
Currently there is AeroYoga® Institute, in the mountains of Aguas Buenas, in the island of Puerto Rico.
The institute aims to carry out AeroYoga teacher certifications in Puerto Rico and other countries such as Spain, USA, Argentina, France, Paraguay, Mexico, Australia and New Caledonia in Oceania.
